DGVCL Notified Recruitment to 290 Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) Post 2013

Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), a subsidiary Company of GUVNL (Erstwhile GEB) is a Power Distribution Company distributing Power in 7 districts of South Gujarat. DGVCL invited applications for recruitment to 290 posts (approx) of Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant). Interested candidates should apply online till 5 October 2013.

Vacancy Details:

Name of the Post: Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant)

Total Vacancies: 290 posts (approx)

Type of Recruitment: Contractual

Period of Recruitment: 3 years

Remuneration: 

For 1st year: Rs. 6500 per month (Fixed)

For 2nd year: Rs.7250 per month (Fixed)

For 3rd year: Rs. 8000 per month (Fixed)

Selected Vidyut Sahayak (Junior Assistant) shall be appointed for duration of three years and considered for appointment to the post of Jr. Assistant in the pay scale of Rs. 9700 - 21710 on regular cadre-establishment on successful completion of the period of three years as Vidyut Sahayak.

Eligibility Criterion:

Qualification: Graduate (B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. / BBA / BCA / graduation in any discipline).

Knowledge of Computers and English language

Age limit: 

Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 25 years

Upper age limit relax-able for female and reserved category candidates is 30 years and for Employees of DGVCL Company is Up to the age of 40 years.

Selection Procedure: 

Selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in the Written test / Interview
The written test will have both Objective and descriptive type questions on Mathematical ability (Higher Secondary General stream level), English Language (General drafting and communicative ability), Computer Knowledge (proficiency in MS Office like MS Word, Excel & Power Point) and General knowledge (Graduation level).

Application Fees: 

Non-refundable application fees of Rs. 500 (for General Category / PHISEBC Candidates) / Rs. 250 (for SC / ST candidates) has to be paid in cash in any branch of State Bank of India using the triplicate challan for payment of application fee, available for downloaded on DGVCL website.

NOTE: Bank Charges of Rs. 50 shall be paid by the applicant to the Bank over and above the application Fee.

Interested eligible candidates should apply online through DGVCL website till 5 October 2013.

After successful submission of the online application, candidates should take its print-out attach attested copies of required documents / certificates and DGVCL Copy of Challan duly endorsed by the SBI and send it to “The Addl.General Manager (HR), Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited, Nana Varachha Road, Nr. Gaijar.petrol pump, Kapodra Char rasta, Surat 395006, Gujarat” so as to reach the said office on or before 11 October 2013.
